I truly believe that Sunday night was a beautiful evening that gave glory where glory was due, and that's to the Lord. Praise was heard all around in song and speech attributing to the ways He has shown off in this season through His people displaying what biblical community looks like. I loved being able to recognize all of the support that Ryan and I have been blessed with. It was so
special and I am so grateful for LoveHeals and the opportunity that was given.
If you were unable to join us for the evening, in addition to the pictures attached here, you can watch/listen to the evening by clicking THIS LINK: https://fb.watch/kIJf8OAc8I/
I will also be copying the transcript to what I shared here below if you would like to read it. I cannot emphasize enough how large the impact that each and every person listed has made. Know that if you are a part of the names, families, and groups listed, Ryan and I THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for the ways that you have been obedient to being the hands and feet of His Kingdom, displaying what that night was all about- the biblical community support. Glory Be!
*Next Steps: Prayers for Thursday's (5/25) appointment that the follow-up from the doctor is one of praise for a CLEAR PET scan report!
JORDAN's TRANSCRIPT FROM THE LOVE HEALS WORSHIP EVENT:
"Hello,
I am Jordan, and for some that may not know the background, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 (B) Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in September. Since then, I have had 8 rounds of chemotherapy (approx 4 months) and 15 rounds of radiation for about 6 months of total treatment. I recently just had what will hopefully be my last PET scan for a while and my hopefully final follow-up will be this Thursday when I get told I am no longer a cancer patient, but a cancer survivor. At least that is what we are praying for. The Lord has really shown off over these months and that is why we are all here.
I’ll start by saying that I almost said no to what Love Heals and Courtney wanted to do having this event. I almost said no for 2 reasons. 1- I did not want the spotlight. I thought, “what testimony?” “I don’t have a testimony, I am just a person.” I didn't think that it was anything special. 2- I hated the idea of the night being about me or “the money.”
But through conviction and the beautiful wisdom of my fiance Ryan, I was told, “Jordan, it’s not about that. It does not matter if its $0, $10, or $10, 000, this is an opportunity for you to tell what God did”
And it’s for those reasons and for many other reasons that I believe that “It’s Not My Story” that I get to tell. “But Jordan, you're the one up there! Of course, it’s your story!” I promise you, this is God’s story, I just happened o be the one that He picked to hold the microphone.
I could share all the disgusting parts of the journey.
Chemo: Fatigue, mouth sores, migraines, nausea.
Radiation: Burning throat and fatigue.
Lies of the enemy: You’re broken, you're a terrible teacher, you’re not this beautiful future bride.
And if you desire to read those details, most are listed on my blog, but instead, I want to tell a story that I believe captures the whole story. And that is the story of Ms. Myrtle….

“Now I am never going to forget you Miss Jordan. May God Bless You
And that is exactly what God did. Ryan and I were never alone, just like He proved to us that day in the checkout waiting room with a stranger.
Behind me is a slide of the names of people and of groups. I could spend multiple hours detailing to you the impact that each one of these groups and individuals had on me and Ryan. My co-teacher Sophie and the support of my school staff, my small group with rides, meals, and providing a recliner from the church. The meal train donations and cards that were given by so many, just to name a few. The Lord provided such rich and strong roots here in LYH for me to be planted for a season such as this and it has been beautifully overwhelming to say the least.
If you are a part of one of these names or groups PLEASE STAND. Go ahead and stand up!
THIS IS THE STORY
It’s God using His people and those people being obedient to being the hands and feet. I cannot emphasize enough how the Lord showed off during this season from gas money to people driving and attending chemo with me, text messages from those close and across the globe, meals dropped off at the door, the intentionality of the cancer center staff, and the list goes on. It is because of all of you and many others who are not here.
Cancer is hard. There were days that brought pain to the point of tears, stripped my identity as a person of value where all I saw when I looked in the mirror was damaged good, days of questioning why, fear of the unknown, and so many hard moments… but EVERYONE here is the reason that Ryan and I are still standing and can continue to walk forward in what is hopefully the end to this cancer season. So thank you <3"
Much love to you Jordan! Praying for you 💕
